SAN LUIS OBISPO – Looking to secure its first points of the season, the Cal Poly men's soccer program returns home to Mustang Memorial Field Presented by French Hospital to host Utah Valley on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. and Air Force on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. Under first-year head coach Oige Kennedy, Cal Poly (0-3-0) took a 3-1 lead after 13 minutes during its Aug. 28 season opener against Oral Roberts before conceding four unanswered goals. The Mustangs then fell at San Diego State (Sept. 1) and No. 12 San Diego (Sept. 4) by identical 3-0 scorelines. Utah Valley (1-4-0) enters Tuesday's matchup attempting to snap a four-game slide following its most recent setback, a 5-2 loss at UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 9). The Wolverines are managed by Kyle Beckerman, a 21-year Major League Soccer veteran and 58-cap winner with the United States Men's National Team. Outscored 14-4 to begin the season and shut out three times, Air Force (0-6-0) visits Cal State Fullerton on Thursday before heading toward Cal Poly.
