Dye Stahley
- Title:
- Graduate Assistant
Dye Stahley, only the second woman in the 35-year history of the Big West to lead the conference in both assists and steals in the same year, is now a Graduate Assistant with the Mustang coaching staff. Stahley — enrolled for her master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration — graduated with her Materials Engineering degree from Cal Poly in 2020 after also helping out for a year as a student assistant.
She finished her playing career among the top 15 in school history for both assists (341; No. 6 all-time) and steals (159; 13th). Averaging 5.0 assists along with 2.3 steals per game in 2018-19, Stahley achieved the rare feat of leading the league in both categories simultaneously, joining Leilani Mitchell, who became the first to do so while with former Big West member Idaho in 2004-05.
In addition to ranking No. 47 in the country in assists and 59th throughout the NCAA in steals, Stahley ranked No. 35 nationally in minutes per game as a senior, with 36.7. The 2018-19 year also saw her win her second consecutive Big West Best Hustle Award, as well as earn a selection to the conference’s All-Defensive Team.
