SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Playing its first ever home games as a varsity sport, the Cal Poly STUNT team split its two games Friday at the Cal Poly STUNT Stampede in front of a packed house inside Mott Athletics Center.
The No. 3 Mustangs fell in their afternoon opener to No. 1 California Baptist 35-13. They then bounced back in the evening with a dominant 32-14 victory over Arizona State.
There was a ton of high-flying, acrobatic, exciting action put on by Cal Poly in front of the home fans. It was an historic showing as it marked the program’s first win at home as a Division I program.
Cal Poly will play two more games at Mott Athletics Center Saturday. First, they will again take on Arizona State at 10 a.m. followed by UC Davis at 2 p.m.
