SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — For the first time since being elevated to a varsity sport this year, Cal Poly STUNT will host its first and only event of the 2026 season this weekend inside Mott Athletics Center.
Ranked third in the national rankings, the Mustangs will play four games between Friday and Saturday inside Mott Athletics Center. On Friday they will take on No. 1 California Baptist at 2 p.m. followed by Arizona State at 6 p.m. Then on Saturday, they will face Arizona State again at 10 a.m. followed by UC Davis at 2 p.m.
All games will be streamed live on the Cal Poly Athletics YouTube page. Fans who want to attend in person can purchase tickets for a pass for each day at GoPoly.com/tickets. There will be three games each day with Arizona State and California Baptist playing each other at 4 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. on Saturday.
So far this season, the No. 3 Mustangs are 8-4 on the year. This January, the NCAA officially approved STUNT as an NCAA championship sport, paving the way for the first official NCAA Championship to be held in the spring of 2027.
Prior to this year, STUNT has served as a club sport at Cal Poly since 2010 with STUNT Head Coach and Cal Poly Director of Spirit Programs Annette Laron-Pickett overseeing the program alongside the athletic department since its inception.
The Mustangs have been one of the top club programs in the country, capturing the national championship in 2023 and finishing as the national runner-up just two years ago.
Following this weekend’s action, the Mustangs will prepare for the National Championships April 23-26 in Nashville, TN.
