SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — After playing its first two games of the season on the road, Cal Poly football will play its home opener of 2025 Saturday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. when hosting Division II Western Oregon at Mustang Memorial Field presented by French Hospital at Spanos Stadium.
The Mustangs are off to a 1-1 start this season. They had a 41-17 season-opening victory over San Diego in week one before falling to FBS opponent No. 25 Utah in week two this past Saturday.
For Saturday’s game, the first five thousand students receive a fight song shirt. Also new this year for students is the chance to win one quarter of in-state tuition. Each of the first five thousand students to arrive will receive a raffle ticket to enter to win. The winner will be announced after the third quarter ends.
Cal Poly is once again doing ‘City Days’ this year at football games. Each game, fans from different select cities around the Central Coast can purchase a ticket for $5. For this Saturday’s game against Western Oregon, it is Santa Maria, Nipomo, and Lompoc Day. Fans from there can purchase $5 tickets HERE.
