
Cal Poly Football Hosting Inaugural “Friday Night Lights” Event Friday at Mustang Memorial Field.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly Football will welcome fans, families, and the local community to “Friday Night Lights” at Mustang Memorial Field on Friday, April 17 at 6 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m. The special evening event offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Mustangs as they take the field for an open practice under the lights.
Admission is free, giving supporters a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of Cal Poly Football in a relaxed, fan-friendly environment and to see the new look Mustangs under new head coach Tim Skipper. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the evening, including:
- Live viewing of team practice
- Concessions and beer available for purchase
- Interactive games for kids
- Post-practice autograph session with Cal Poly players
“Friday Night Lights” is designed to bring the community closer to the program, offering fans of all ages a chance to connect with student-athletes and experience the energy of Mustang football.
“Friday Night Lights is an event for us to come together as a community,” said Cal Poly head coach Tim Skipper. “It's an opportunity to watch us practice and a chance to meet the players and coaches.”
