SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly men’s tennis team is back at home this weekend, hosting BYU on Friday and Idaho on Sunday at the Ronca Tennis Center.
Friday’s 6 p.m. match will be a historic one for the program, marking the first-ever night match under the newly installed lights. The new lights mark a major step forward for the program, anticipating expanded match times and a better home atmosphere.
Live scoring is available for the matches HERE. Make sure to follow Cal Poly men’s tennis on Instagram and Twitter/X for live updates throughout the match.
Admission to all Cal Poly tennis matches is free, but this year the addition of the brand new state-of-the-art Comerford Pavilion is offering fans a unique viewing experience. This season on weekends and night matches (Saturdays and Sundays), fans can purchase access to the Silva Ball Rally Alley which offers reserved seating on the second floor of the Pavilion, along with snacks and beverages. Single-match access is available to purchase for $40, while a season pass for either the men’s or women’s team is $250. Full access to both this season can be purchased for $500 HERE. Access to the Comerford Viewing Deck, located on the south side of the facility and above court 2, is free to fans at all times, and during weekday matches (Monday through Friday with some exceptions) the second floor seating at the Comerford Pavillion is also open to all fans.
The Mustangs are entering the weekend with a 2-5 overall record and a 2-1 record at home. The team faced a challenging early schedule, competing against strong opponents on the road at the beginning of the season. As they’ve beat both these teams before, the Mustangs are looking to bounce back and gain momentum before heading back on the road for the next few weeks.
