We feel great about our 2026 signing class. We’re adding power at the plate and versatility on defense. This class is incredibly athletic, can play multiple positions in the field and will complement this year’s incoming freshman class to add depth in every position.- Cal Poly Head Coach Jenny Condon
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Covering all areas of the field, the Cal Poly softball program recently signed five players for the 2027 season during November’s signing date period.
Set to join Cal Poly next fall are infielders Ashlee Io (San Juan Bautista, Calif./Hollister HS) and Leilani Terrazas (Sacramento, Calif./Granite Bay HS), outfielder Cam Lincoln (Granite Bay, CA/Granite Bay HS), righthander Maya Ewing (Elk Grove, Calif./Monterey Trail HS) and catcher Kalani Higa (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma HS).
“We feel great about our 2026 signing class,” head coach Jenny Condon said. “We’re adding power at the plate and versatility on defense. This class is incredibly athletic, can play multiple positions in the field and will complement this year’s incoming freshman class to add depth in every position.”
Ashlee Io (IF)
A three-year performer with 59 career appearances at Hollister HS, Io helped the Haybalers to the 2023 CIF Central Coast Section Open Division championship and that year’s CIF Northern California Division I title. Hitting a career high .438 as a sophomore in 2024, Io is a multi-time honor roll selection at Hollister HS while batting a combined .380 the past two summers for the LTG Lions Softball program.
“Ashlee is infielder that can play anywhere,” Condon said. “She moves well and has great hands. We’re excited to have another player from the LTG Lions Softball program.”

Leilani Terrazas (IF)
Already a three-time All-Sierra Football League selection at Granite Bay HS, Terrazas batted a career high .323 as a junior in 2025 with four home runs, 17 RBI and a .597 slugging percentage. Entering her final year, Terrazas – also a standout for the LTG Lions club program – has hit 17 career homers and compiled 68 RBI.
“Leilani is a great defensive performer who can play a variety of positions,” Condon said. “Her power at the plate will help strengthen our offense too.”
Cam Lincoln (OF)
Now a three-time All-Sierra Football League selection for Granite Bay HS, Lincoln batted a career best .315 as a junior last spring. Combining with Terrazas to assist Granite Bay HS to the 2023 Sierra Foothill League title, Lincoln is the third member from LTG Lions heading to Cal Poly.
“Cam brings speed to our already fast outfield,” Condon said. “She can run anything down and is fearless diving for anything that comes her way.”
Maya Ewing (RHP)
Also a corner infielder for Monterey Trail HS, the 5-9 Ewing batted .320 last spring with 14 RBI while striking out 53 hitters in the circle. At club level, Ewing competes for Suncats Jimenez.
“Maya is a power lefthanded hitter that will help fill the void our seniors are leaving,” Condon said. “She’ll help in the circle adding another righthander to our pitching staff.”

Kalani Higa (C)
A three-time All-North Puget Sound League first team selection with Tahoma HS, Higa hit .458 as a junior in 2025. She also batted .492 as a sophomore, .476 during her freshman year and enters her final season with 18 career homers. With Higa in the lineup, Tahoma HS has compiled a 57-15 overall record during the last three seasons while capturing the 2025 4A NPSL title.
Higa’s mother, Michelle, played softball at Oregon State while her sister, Kaiea, is a senior infielder at UConn after spending her first two seasons at Oregon State. Her father, Grant, was an internationally competitive power lifter.
“Kalani brings power to the plate while providing us more depth at the catching position,” Condon said. “Kalani has a great pedigree and we’re excited to have her join the Mustangs.”
