Seven Mustangs Earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors

COMPLETE EASTON/NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE HONOREES
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Seven Cal Poly softball players – one shy of the program record set last spring – recently earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition for excellence in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must have achieved a minimum 3.5 GPA during the 2021-22 academic year.
Graduating as a two-time honoree was senior center fielder Noellah Ramos, who started 194 of a possible 208 games during her career and departed the program ranked eighth all-time with nine triples, ninth with 28 sacrifice hits and 13th with 88 runs, 20 steals and 57 walks. A business major, Ramos was also an All-Big West Conference second team honoree in 2022.
Joining Ramos as a two-time honoree was sophomore first baseman Hailey Prahm and sophomore infielder Ellie Yamashita. A starter in 36 of 37 appearances, Prahm – majoring in business communications – batted .286 last spring. Yamashita, a psychology major, made 31 reserve appearances for the Mustangs in 2022.
Earning their first Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete awards were senior righthander Danielle Reyes (materials engineering major), freshman righthanders Paige Maier (biology) and Kate Judy (sociology) and freshman infielder Caroline Allman (environmental engineering).
Reyes made three appearances for Cal Poly in her final season. Maier, named to the Big West All-Freshman Team in May, finished 6-3 during her first year and earned five of Cal Poly's 14 Big West victories. Judy led Cal Poly with seven victories in 2022 while Allman started 11 times in 26 appearances last spring.
