Cal Poly Hosts UNLV for Tuesday Evening Exhibition

SAN LUIS OBISPO – With the first full week of preseason training camp complete, the Cal Poly men's soccer program welcomes UNLV for a Tuesday, Aug. 16 exhibition matchup inside Alex G. Spanos Stadium.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. for Cal Poly, which received a hat trick from sophomore forward Drew Patterson and a goal from freshman forward Banyan Lyon during a 4-0 home exhibition victory against Division II Fresno Pacific (Aug. 13).

Cal Poly, which enjoyed two saves apiece from goalkeepers Victor Rodriguez and Gabe Penner in the victory against Fresno Pacific, last faced UNLV for a Aug. 20, 2019 exhibition, handing the Rebels a 1-0 defeat in Las Vegas.

Cal Poly completes regular season preparations with a Saturday, Aug. 20 home exhibition against Santa Clara at 7 p.m.

The Mustangs open the 2022 regular season with a Thursday, Aug. 25 matchup versus Dayton at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
