Cal Poly Hosts San Jose State Sunday at 1 p.m.

MUSTANGS HOOPS WEEKLY GAME PROGRAM
SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly men's basketball program welcomes San Jose State for the first time in nine seasons on Sunday, Dec. 13 when facing the Spartans in a 1 p.m. matchup inside Mott Athletics Center.
Opening its season with a five-game home stand, Cal Poly (1-2) looks to even its overall mark following losses to San Francisco (Dec. 4) and Santa Clara (Dec. 9). The Mustangs last hosted San Jose State on Nov. 12, 2011, handing the Spartans a 79-52, season-opening defeat.
Following Sunday's matchup, Cal Poly closes its five-game home stand on Wednesday, Dec. 16 against San Diego at 1 p.m.
San Jose State (1-1), which saw its first three scheduled games of the regular season cancelled, opened the year with an 87-79 victory against Fresno Pacific (Dec. 9). The Spartans then fell at Saint Mary's Friday evening, 96-61.
Two of Cal Poly's top four leading scorers either posted new career scoring highs or equaled their existing mark during Wednesday's loss to Santa Clara.
Freshman guard Kobe Sanders, Cal Poly's second leading scorer at 11.7 points per game, matched his career high with 16 points versus Santa Clara. Sanders leads the Mustangs with a 57.1 (8-for-14) percent three-point mark.
Sophomore forward Alimamy Koroma, averaging 11.0 points per night, scored a career high 16 points against Santa Clara. Freshman point guard Camren Pierce, making his first collegiate start in Wednesday's game against Santa Clara, scored 15 versus the Broncos to improve his scoring average to 9.0 points per contest.
Freshman forward Dyson Koehler has grabbed six rebounds in each of Cal Poly's opening three matchups and ranks second in the lineup in boards per game.
