SAN LUIS OBISPO – Following a redshirt season last year at Weber State, 6-5 guard Anthony Moore will make his collegiate debut with the Cal Poly men’s basketball program this fall after his offseason transfer.
A native of Stockton, Calif., and a 2025 graduate of Lincoln HS where he earned All-CIF NorCal first team selection and All-Tri City Athletic League honors after averaging 17.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game as a senior, Moore will have four years of eligibility remaining.
“We recruited Anthony out of high school and were very aware of his fit at Cal Poly as soon as we saw his name in the transfer portal,” third-year Cal Poly head coach Mike DeGeorge said. “His length, versatile skillset and competitive spirit make him an ideal fit.”
In 120 career appearances at Lincoln HS, Moore averaged 14.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting 49.1 (690-for-1,405) percent from the floor. As part of a 1,758-point career, Moore also averaged 16.4 points per game during his 2023-24 junior season.
With the Mustangs having lost just one player to the transfer portal during the last two years, Moore’s addition bolsters a Cal Poly roster that remains largely unchanged from last year’s squad that averaged 82.1 points per game and finished 10th among NCAA Division I programs with 10.8 three-pointers per game.
As our roster commitments for next year come in ?? it's time to welcome a new face to the Cal Poly men's basketball program!#RideHigh
