Dome, Andre

Andre Dome
- Induction:
- 2022
One of the best players in program history, Andre Dome was a two-time Big West Player of the Year, Big West Freshman of the Year, NCAA All-American, and set four program records during his time at Cal Poly.
Dome, a native of nearby Arroyo Grande and a two-time prep All-American and 2007 high school singles champion at the Ojai Invitational, was a four-time First Team All-Big West honoree in singles and three-time First Team All-Big West honoree in doubles. As a freshman in 2009, he was named Big West Freshman of the Year, becoming the first Mustang to earn the award.
With Dome, the Mustangs won the Big West Conference title in 2012 and made the NCAA Tournament in 2011 and 2012. Individually, Dome made it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in both singles and doubles during his career, the only Mustang in Division I history to ever do so.
As a senior in 2013, Dome dominated the dual match season to the tune of a 21-2 record in singles, a program record for wins in a season. He was also 17-4 in doubles that year which helped him be named a 2013 NCAA All-American and the Big West Player of the Year.
Dome still holds program records for career singles dual match winning percentage (77.3%), most dual match singles wins in a season (21), combined singles and doubles dual match wins a season (38), and combined singles and doubles career dual match winning percentage (74.8).
Following his outstanding career at Cal Poly, Dome went on to play professionally on the ATP Tour for two years, reaching a singles ranking as high as No. 426 in the world. He retired in 2015 with a career ITF record of 41-29, including three titles altogether as well as winning the Mexico F5 Championship and Canadian F5 crown.
He now works as a Quality Assurance Software Engineer for Talentsky, Inc., in San Francisco.
