Community College -- Mealancon recorded 15 tackles in 10 games as a sophomore in 2015 and 28 tackles in nine game as a freshman in 2014 at College of the Canyons ... his career includes 10 tackles for lost yardage, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries ... also recruited by East Tennessee State, Hawai'i, Fresno State and Alabama, choosing Cal Poly because "I love the family feel the school gave me."

High School -- A 2013 graduate of Paraclete High School, where as a junior in 2011, Mealancon made 49 tackles, including six sacks and 7.0 tackles for lost yardage, to go along with three quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery, helping the Spirits to an 11-3 record, second-place Alpha League finish and 2011 CIF-Southern Section East Valley Division runner-up placing ... did not play football as a senior as he exceeded the California Interscholastic Federation's age limit ... made school's Honor Roll.
