Rich Hodgkinson
Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Services • Fifth Year • San Diego State '12
Rich Hodgkinson was hired in July 2016 as equipment manager at Cal Poly. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Services in December 2019. He returned to Cal Poly in January 2021 after serving three months in the equipment services office at Fresno State.
While earning his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at San Diego State, Hodgkinson served as head student manager for Athletic Equipment Services from 2008-12, directing students and organizing football practices along with completing necessary laundry services and equipment issuance.
After his graduation, Hodgkinson worked for one year as an Athletic Equipment Services assistant at the University of San Diego, then worked briefly at Fresno State as an Athletic Equipment Attendant I before moving on to San Jose State, where he worked for two years as an Athletic Equipment Attendant II, focusing on football.
Hodgkinson is a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
