Otten, a four-year letter winner in both football and lacrosseat Foothill High School in Pleasanton, is in his fifth season withthe Cal Poly football team.
Otten will serve as defensive quality control coach for thefirst time this year and also is the team’s videocoordinator.
Otten is responsible for filming of games and practices, makinghighlight videos and doing film exchange. He also assists incoaching the defensive line.
A kinesiology major at Cal Poly, Otten hopes to be a footballcoach or athletic trainer. He plans to graduate in 2014.
