Claremont McKenna College -- Played two seasons for the Stags and has two seasons plus a redshirt year remaining ... made 34 tackles (19 solo) as a sophomore with 2.5 tackles for lost yardane and a pair of pass breakups ... as a freshman recorded nine tackles (six solo) and broke up a pass.
High School -- A 2017 graduate of Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, which also produced former Cal Poly center Joey Kuperman ... under head coach Sean Doyle, Stuppiello helped Dons to perfect 15-0 record, Western League and CIF-San Diego Section Open Division championships en route to California state Division 1-AA title ... as a senior middle linebacker made 122 total tackles (47 solo), which led his team and the Western League ... also notched three sacks, intercepted two passes, broke up six other passes and recovered a fumble ... double-digit tackles in five games, including career-high 16 stops in state title game versus Saint Mary's of Stockton (Dusty Frampton of Saint Mary's rushed 33 times for 169 yards in that game) ... Stuppiello was named defensive MVP of team and also earned first-team All-Western League and second-team All-CIF-San Diego Section accolades ... made school's Honor Roll and is a member of California Scholarship Federation ... chose to transfer to Cal Poly because of its "academics, football, location and sense of family."
