Football games are often decided in the trenches by the big guys on both sides of the line and the Mustangs are bringing back nine guys on the offensive line who played last season to give them experience on the line.
Guys who are back who started several games last season include sixth year Payson Campisano, graduates Hunter Jones and Charles Lincoln, redshirt seniors Austin Anderson and Ethan Bronson, and redshirt sophomores Jasdev Bainwait and Hayden Jones.
Combined, all those guys have played in 140 games to give the offensive line plenty of experience to lean on this fall. And they are bigger and stronger this year.
Experience in your offensive line is so vital for the whole football team, particularly the offense. We need their experience, their leadership to hold the fort down and they can dictate tempo, and we need them to for us to be successful.Head Coach Paul Wulff

Adding to the group this year will be five guys who redshirted last year and four true freshmen to bolster the depth of the group.
Campisano and Lincoln are two leaders of the group who Wulff says do it with their professionalism every day to help the rest of the guys get better.
Both of them are very committed, hardworking great leaders who lead by example. They just show the younger guys how it’s done and they’ve got a great teaching mentality and are willing to work with the young guys and bring them along.Head Coach Paul Wulff on Payson Campisano and Charles Lincoln
Wulff says although there is work to go, he likes where this offensive line group is headed this year.
