Offensive Spotlight: Michael Briscoe

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — One of Cal Poly’s stand out receivers this season is redshirt junior Michael Briscoe. He leads the team in receiving touchdowns with three and a total of 469 yards in the first seven games of 2024.
Briscoe suffered a season ending injury in 2022 but recovered to play in the spring game.
In the 2023 season Briscoe played in six games, missing five due to injury. In the games he played he had eight receptions for 192 yards scoring three touchdowns. He had the most yards per carry on the team with 24 yards. He had a stand out game against Sacramento State with 124 receiving yards.
This season Briscoe has had some great plays, he has thrown for a touchdown against Stanford. Along with a 50 yard rush against University of Idaho.
Briscoe is having his healthiest season yet and looks to continue this momentum the rest of the season.
He looks to add on to his total touchdowns and yards this Saturday when the Mustangs host No. 8 Montana at Mustang Memorial Field at Spanos Stadium, kicking off at 2 p.m. Limited tickets are still available for purchase and can be bought by clicking on the link below.
