
Bear Pascoe Named Tight Ends Coach

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly football head coach Tim Skipper has announced that Bear Pascoe will join his staff as tight ends coach.
Pascoe replaces Tavita Thompson at tight ends coach following Thompon's departure to Stanford last month. Pascoe is a former NFL tight end who played seven seasons in the league from 2009-15 for four teams and won a Super Bowl title in 2011 with the New York Giants.
Pascoe played collegiately at Fresno State from 2004-08 where he was a two-time All-WAC selection. He holds the Fresno State record for most field goal blocks in a career with six. He also tied the program record for most receiving touchdowns in a game with three against Texas A&M. Following his outstanding collegiate career, Pascoe was a sixth round draft pick in the 2009 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
Since his retirement from football, Pascoe has lived on the Central Coast, owing and operating a cattle ranch with his wife's family while also competing in rodeo. Most recently, he was an assistant coach for Cal Poly Rodeo while also helping as an assistant football coach at San Luis Obispo High School. Pascoe also runs his own training business, Full Speed Performance located in Morro Bay, where he trains young athletes.
Originally from Porterville, Calif., he attended Granite Hills High School where he was a standout quarterback before moving to tight end at Fresno State.
