SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly women's tennis team continues its fall season this Friday when they open competition at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships hosted by Stanford.
For the 16th season in a row, Stanford's Taube Family Tennis Stadium is serving as the host site of the ITA Northwest Regionals. Play starts at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
Six players are entered in the singles draw for the Mustangs — Fifth year Delanie Dunkle, graduate student Melissa LaMette, juniors Eliza Bates, Peyton Dunkle and Romane Mosse, and sophomore Kennedy Buntrock. Cal Poly also has three pairings entered in the tourney — the Dunkle sisters, Buntrock and sophomore Amy Leather, and LaMette and Mosse. The Mustangs' first round matchups are listed below and a full bracket and draws for the five-day tournament can be found here.
Cal Poly will encounter 16 other teams from the Northwest Region during the tournament.
The Mustangs are two weeks removed from opening their 2023-24 campaign at the Cal Fall Invite on Sept. 29-Oct. 1. Bates and Mosse teamed up to capture the White bracket doubles title at the invitational.
