Patterson Signs with USL League One’s Lexington SC

SAN LUIS OBISPO – Forward Drew Patterson became the Cal Poly men's soccer program's first professional signing of the offseason recently with the two-year letterwinner joining USL League One side Lexington SC for the club's inaugural 2023 season.
Founded in 2021 and hosting matches at Kentucky's Bell Soccer Complex, Lexington SC will be one of 12 clubs for 2023 in USL League One – the third professional tier in the United States.
Joining Cal Poly ahead of the 2021 season after transferring as a redshirt from Marist (2019), Patterson started 11 of 17 matches during his first year with the Mustangs. He finished 2021 with goals against UC Davis and CSU Bakersfield in successive matches while also producing two assists.
A native of Cranford, N.J., Patterson made 11 further appearances last fall with seven starts.
