Cal Poly Back on the Road This Week at UC San Diego, SDSU

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – After having its first home match of the season last week, the Cal Poly women's tennis team is on the road again for back-to-back matches this week. The Mustangs are at UC San Diego Friday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. and San Diego State Saturday, Feb. 12 at noon.
In their home opener, the Mustangs defeated Sacramento State 4-0- advancing the Mustangs to 2-2 overall.
Freshman Peyton Dunkle is 5-2 overall. The Mustangs number one doubles pairing, Emily Ackerman and Kim Bhunu (4-2) are currently on a three-match winning streak. Similarly, Delanie Dunkle and Melissa LaMette (3-1) are hoping to continue their two-match winning streak.
In 2021, the last time the Mustangs faced the Tritons, the Mustangs won 4-1.
The Mustangs will face the Aztecs (3-1) for the first time in a little under two years.
The team will return home the following weekend on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. against UC Davis.
