
Cal Poly Men's Tennis Falls to UNLV 4-2

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Cal Poly men's tennis (12-5) fell to UNLV (10-7) Wednesday 4-2, breaking the Mustangs' six-match winning streak. This was the Mustangs' first match back on the road after a five-game home stand during the month of March.
In doubles, freshmen Roman Shenkiyrk and Andrew Whitehouse fell to Alexander Cozbinov and Courtney Lock 6-2.
Junior Josh Ortlip and senior Axel Damiens played Eric Samuelsson and Clayton Alenikbut did not finish. The score was 5-4 when they stopped
Junior Dominic Bechard and senior Karl Enander lost to Jordan Sauer and Ruben Alberts 6-4.
In singles, Ortlip lost to Cozbinov 6-3, 6-1, freshman Alexander Stater lost to Richard Solberg 6-4, 6-4, and Enander lost to Sauer 7-6, 6-1.
The Mustangs earned their two points when Antoine Noel took down Ruven Alberts 6-1, 6-3 on court three. The second point came from Damiens who defeated Samuelsson 6-3, 6-4.
Wednesday's dual match makes the Mustangs 12-5 this season. Cal Poly returns to action Saturday, March 31 at UC Irvine.
