
Cal Poly Men's Tennis Sweeps Boise State at Home 4-0

The Cal Poly men's tennis team finished their five-match homestand Sunday against Boise State, winning 4-0.
The Mustangs won every game in the homestand, and swept every team besides Idaho, who they beat 4-2 last Thursday, March 15.
Sunday's dual match began with doubles play. Freshmen Andrew Whitehouse and Roman Shenkiryk played on court one for the second weekend in a row and defeated Jack Heslin and Kyle Butters 5-4.
Junior Josh Ortlip and senior Axel Damiens dropped down to court two after Ortlip was out ill last weekend. They defeated Stefan Lalovic and Pedro Platzneck 6-3.
Senior Karl Enander and junior Dominic Bechard defeated Mattia Bedolo and Mateo Tinelli 6-4 on court three.
In singles, Damiens finished first on court four, defeating Wyatt DeMulling 7-5, 6-0.
Next, Ortlip reclaimed his spot on court one for Cal Poly. He took down Jack Heslin easily 6-2, 6-4.
Noel finished third on court three and secured the game for the Mustangs defeating Tinelli 6-2, 6-4.
None of the other matches finished. On court two, Bechard played Kyle Butters. On court five, freshman Alexander Stater played Bedolo. On court six, Enander played Platzeck.
The win for the Mustangs puts them at 12-4 this season and extends their winning streak to six matches.
Cal Poly men's tennis returns to action Wednesday, March 28 against UNLV in Las Vegas at 5 p.m.
