
Olyphant Wins Third Straight, Cal Poly Women's Tennis Falls to Sacramento State

SACRAMENTO— Freshman Grace Olyphant (pictured above) won her third straight singles match but it wasn't enough as the Cal Poly Women's Tennis lost to Sacramento State Saturday 5-2.
Playing from the No. 5 spot, Olyphant defeated the Hornets' Caroline Chernyetsky in straight sets 7-6 (7) 6-2. She is now 5-3 in singles competition this season.
In doubles, Olyphant and Caroline Williams won their match 6-2 for their third straight doubles win. The pair is now 6-4 on the season.
The Mustangs' (3-8, 0-2) other point came at the No. 6 singles slot as junior Celine Gruaz beat Sacramento State's Shamika Dhar 6-1, 6-7 (5), 10-6 to improve her record to 3-4 this season.
Cal Poly remains on the road to take on Santa Clara Sunday at noon.
