Kolleen (Kassis) McNamee played women's soccer at Cal Poly from 1992-95 -- Cal Poly's first four seasons as an intercollegiate sport.
She was team MVP and team captain all four years as she led Cal Poly to a No. 9 national ranking in 1992, No. 2 in 1993, No. 25 in 1994 and No. 18 in 1995. She earned All-West Region honors all four seasons and twice was an All-American.
McNamee also was 1993 California Collegiate Athletic Association MVP, MVP of the Division II Final Four in 1993, an Arthur Ashe Award recipient in 1995, and was nominated for Cal Poly Athlete of the Year in 1995.
She holds Cal Poly all-time records for career points, career assists, career goals scored, single-season goals scored and single-season points. She is second in single-season assists.
Kolleen was director of athletics at St. Francis High School in Sacramento for 11 years. She was general manager of a World TeamTennis franchise in 2013, financial advisor for Northwestern Mutual for five years and currently serves as director of operations for the Union Sacramento Football Club, a job she has held since January 2019.
She is a 1996 Cal Poly graduate in biological sciences and obtained her master's degree in athletic administration from Ohio University.
In April 2004 Kolleen received the California State Athletic Directors Association's Norm MacKenzie Award for the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section, an award given to high school athletic directors in their first through fourth year for excellence in leadership.
She also is a member of the Outstanding Student Honor Society of Ohio University.
