Eric Frazzetta is in his second season as the Duan Family Cal Poly Men's Assistant Golf Coach after previously serving as the head men’s and women’s coach at Division II Holy Names (Oakland, Calif.).
Arriving at Cal Poly ahead of the 2023-24 season, Frazzetta was named 2022-23 Pacific West Women’s Coach of the Year after guiding Holy Names to the conference title and a berth in the NCAA West/South Super Regional Championship in Dallas. A year prior, the Hawks finished third in the PacWest.
Frazzetta also coached the Hawks men's program to back-to-back third-place PacWest finishes before the university ceased operations in June 2023.
Prior to Holy Names, Frazzetta was an assistant coach at Division II Sonoma State, working with the men's program from 2018-20 before joining the women's program for the 2020-21 season.
During his time with Sonoma State, Frazzetta helped guide the men’s program to consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship berths while developing game plans, practice exercises and maintaining course management. He also coached two All-America selections and eight Academic All-America honorees.
Before joining Sonoma State, Frazzetta played professionally on various tours, competing in 23 states and three countries during a five-year career that included time on both the Mackenzie Tour (Canada) and China Tour.
A graduate of Long Beach Poly HS, Frazzetta played golf at Division II Chico State from 2008-12, twice capturing All-America and Academic All-America praise. During his career at Chico State, he helped lead the team to third-place and runner-up finishes at the NCAA Division II Championship.
Frazzetta has caddied both on the PGA Tour for two years and at The Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles from 2014-16.
Frazzetta and his wife, Nicole, enjoyed the arrival of their first child – a daughter – in August 2023.
