“Hayden showed a high-level understanding of our concepts as a player and had the respect of everyone in the locker room,” third-year Cal Poly head coach Mike DeGeorge said. “He’s going to make a tremendous coach and we’re grateful he’s starting his professional career with us.”
A native of nearby Lompoc and the 2021 Channel League Defensive Most Valuable Player honoree at Cabrillo HS, Jory earned a degree in sports management from Cal Poly in May 2025.
