High School -- Under head coach Matt Poston at Tesoro High School, Smeltzer caught 42 passes for 807 yards and 10 touchdowns and also averaged 28 yards on seven kickoff returns in his senior season ... named to the O-D All-American Bowl in Orlando, Florida, and earned first-team All-Orange County, second-team All-South Coast League and fourth-team all-state (Cal-Hi Sports) honors ... named his team's outstanding offensive player award winner and was tabbed as a three-star recruit by Rivals/ESPN/24-7 ... a two-year member of the USA National Select Team ...
