Offensive Spotlight: Michael Briscoe

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly’s biggest returning threat on the offensive side of the ball this year senior wide receiver Michael Brisocoe. So much so, he was named to the Big Sky Preseason All-Conference Team.
Last season, Briscoe was tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns with four. He also led the Big Sky and was top 10 in the FCS in yards per reception at 21.5. He was also second on the team in receiving yards with 538.
In week one this year against San Diego, Briscoe hauled in two receiving touchdowns. So far through two games, he leads the Mustangs in catches, yards, and touchdowns.
He has overcome several injuries throughout his collegiate career to get to where he is now. He missed the entire 2022 season while recovering from injury and missed five games in the 2023 season.
Briscoe and the rest of the Mustangs will look to limit Western Oregon Saturday when hosting the Wolves at Mustang Memorial Field. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
