SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly Mustangs volleyball team got to work Friday, launching their annual preseason training camp at Mott Athletics Center, marking the sixth campaign under the leadership of Head Coach Caroline Walters.
With August 1 as the starting point, the Mustangs will power through 27 practice days before their season officially begins. The daily grind will feature two-a-day sessions: a serve-and-pass drill from 10:00-11:30 AM followed by positional work and scrimmages from 2:00-4:30 PM.
The countdown is on as just 28 days separate the Mustangs from their season-opening showdown against Minnesota at the Golden Gophers’ hosted tournament.
Leading the charge are 2024 All-Conference standouts Breklyn Pulling, Emme Bullis, Chloe Leluge, and Elif Hurriyet, bolstered by seven battle-tested returners.
Adding fresh firepower, four dynamic freshmen join the roster, each adding a key position: libero/defensive specialist Maren O’Farrell, middle blocker Charlotte Kelly, setter Brooke Hansen, and outside hitter Aveya Stone.
Season tickets went on sale when the schedule dropped, and single-game tickets officially are available as of 10:00 AM on August 1.
