Connor, Martinez Place Second at AVP Waupaca Contender Event

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Cal Poly beach volleyball players Ella Connor and Izzy Martinez have taken the successes they had during the season into the summer, placing second together at the AVP Waupaca Contender event in Wisconsin last week.
Piper Ferch, who just finished her Mustang beach career this past season, placed fifth at the event while playing with former UCLA player Natalie Myszkowski.
Playing against some of the top current collegiate players and current pros, Connor and Martinez teamed together to reach the finals of the event.
Earlier this summer, Connor, Martinez, and Ferch were each selected to the USA Beach U26 Collegiate National Team.
