
Men’s Tennis 2025 Recruiting Class Ranked Fourth Among Mid Majors

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly men’s tennis’ incoming 2025 recruiting class has been ranked as the fourth best among all mid majors by Tennis Recruiting Network.
The Mustangs are the highest ranked mid major in the Big West and second in all of California behind only San Diego.
Cal Poly’s incoming class features five newcomers. Those include Luc Hoeijmans, a grad transfer from Tulane who had a decorated career there with 36 singles wins and 25 doubles wins over three years; Derek Hafiz, who is ranked as a five star recruit and 27th in the country by Tennis Recruiting; Leo Matthysen from South Africa; Jovan Lubbe from South Africa; and Denzel Seetso from Botswana, who while playing at Taft School in Connecticut went undefeated in singles as a junior.
The Mustangs are one of two teams from the Big West ranked in the top 25 of top mid major recruiting classes by Tennis Recruiting Network with the other being UC Santa Barbara.
