No. 6 Mustangs Open Sun Devil Classic with Pair of Wins

TEMPE, Ariz. — The Cal Poly beach volleyball team got off to a strong start at day one of the Sun Devil Classic in Tempe by winning both of their matches Friday.

The No. 6 Mustangs took down Arizona 4-1 to start the day before finishing it with a 5-0 sweep of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The Mustangs won eight of their nine combined points via straight set victories.

Cal Poly will wrap up the Sun Devil Classic Saturday with two more matches. They will face Coastal Carolina at 10:30 a.m. before facing host No. 10 Arizona State at 12:30 p.m.
