SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly beach volleyball head coach Todd Rogers has announced the addition of LSU transfer Allyn Brewer to next year’s team.
Brewer redshirted this past season as a freshman at LSU. She is originally from Leonard, Texas where she was a highly decorated indoor volleyball player. She was First Team All-State and All-District Offensive Player of the Year.
She comes from a very athletic family. Her father, Ryan Brewer, played baseball at Texas Tech and was a member of the Kansas City Royals Organization. Her mother, Lacy Brewer, played volleyball at Texas Tech; her sister Dylan, played beach volleyball at Florida Gulf Coast and the University of Arizona; and her brother, Noah played baseball at Greyson College and the University of Arkansas- Little Rock.
"Allyn is a dynamic athlete hailing from Leonard, Texas,” head coach Todd Rogers said. “She is a quick twitch defender with a live arm, great jump and tremendous speed along the sand. She played for her uncle, Chuck Brewer, at 692 in Dallas, TX. She comes from an athletic family as her dad played baseball and her mom played volleyball at Texas Tech. Super excited to welcome Allyn into the Mustang Family as she will be a great addition both on and off the sand!"
She will join a Mustang team that will return two All-Americans and six players who won at least 14 matches this past season.
