No. 6 Mustangs Close Sun Devil Classic with Pair of Wins to Finish Undefeated

TEMPE, Ariz. — The Cal Poly beach volleyball team continued its strong play Saturday to wrap up the Sun Devil Classic with two more wins and finish the weekend a perfect 4-0.
The No. 6 Mustangs swept Coastal Carolina 5-0 to start the day before finishing it with an impressive 4-1 victory over No. 10 Arizona State.
Cal Poly’s No. 1 pair of Erin Inskeep and Piper Ferch as well as the No. 2 pair of Izzy Martinez and Logan Walter both went 4-0 on the weekend together as duos. Ferch and Inskeep are 6-2 so far this year while Martinez and Walter are 7-1.
Cal Poly is 6-2 to begin the season and will now look ahead to playing at home for the first time this year next weekend when hosting the Mustang Roundup March 15-16 at Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex.
Saturday, March 15 the Mustangs will face San Jose State at 11:30 a.m. and Grand Canyon at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 16 Cal Poly will play UC Davis at 2 p.m. and Houston Christian at 4:30 p.m.
