Ferch, Inskeep Take Home Big West Pair of the Week Award

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – For the second consecutive week, a Cal Poly beach volleyball pair has been named Big West Pair of the Week. Last week it was Izzy Martinez and Logan Walter. This week, it went to the duo of senior Piper Ferch and sophomore Erin Inskeep.
Ferch and Inskeep went a perfect 4-0 last weekend at the Sun Devil Classic without dropping a set while playing at the No. 1 spot in the lineup. They took down the top pairs from No. 10 Arizona State, Arizona, Coastal Carolina, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Their performances helped the No. 6 Mustangs also go 4-0 as a team to improve to 6-2 on the year. As a duo, Ferch and Inskeep are 6-2 with all their wins coming at the No. 1 spot in the lineup.
The Mustangs, who for the third straight week are ranked No. 6 in the country, will play at home for the first time this weekend. They host the Mustang Roundup Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16 at Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex, playing two matches each day. Saturday, they will face San Jose State at 11:30 a.m. and No. 14 Grand Canyon at 7 p.m. Sunday, they take on UC Davis at 2 p.m. and Houston Christian at 4:30 p.m.
