
Cal Poly Women’s Golf Seeking Fourth Straight Big West Title This Weekend in Las Vegas

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif -- Cal Poly women's golf will be looking to win its fourth straight Big West title this weekend when they head to Las Vegas for the Big West Championship.
The tournament, playing at Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club, will take place Sunday through Tuesday with one round being played each day. Fans can follow the results live by using the link on the schedule page.
The Mustangs have been rolling this spring placing in the top three in all of their tournaments. They have placed second in two of their tournaments this year, the Tulane Classic and the Fresno State Classic.
Stepping up recently for Cal Poly is freshman Sarah Yoo. In the Fresno State Classic she was tied for second after shooting two under par in the tournament. In the most recent tournament at the AGT Intercollegiate, Yoo shot three under par landing at the top of the leaderboard after the first day and finished the tournament tied for seventh.
Another player that has found success this season is redshirt junior Jensen Jalufka. In the Fresno State Classic she had a 72.8 stroke average coming into the tournament and was tied for fourth place. In the team's most recent event at the AGT Intercollegiate, Jalufka was tied for 11th at three over par.
Yoo, Jalufka, and the rest of the Mustangs will hope to keep this success going and to bring another Big West title back to San Luis Obispo next week.
