Cal Poly Leads After Day One of Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. — Coming off a second place finish last week, Cal Poly women's golf carried that strong momentum into Monday's first round of the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, leading all other 18 schools after day one.
The Mustangs sit at five over par, one stroke ahead of High Point and four strokes ahead of USC Upstate for second and third.
Individually, freshman Sarah Yoo, who last week had her best collegiate performance after finishing second at the Fresno State Classic, had another incredible round Monday. She shot a three under par 68 to also be at the top of the leaderboard after the first day.
Yoo recorded three birdies on the front nine and four on the back nine to lead all players in the field with seven. She had nine pars and two double bogeys to round out her scorecard.
Two other Mustangs are also in the top 15. Jensen Jalufka and Kaylee Sakoda are both tied for 13th at two over par. Kamille Dimayuga is tied for 31st and Nicole Neale is tied for 64th to round out Cal Poly's lineup.
Round two of the three-day tournament continues Tuesday.
