Cal Poly Men’s Tennis Falls Friday at No. 16 San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Cal Poly's No. 1 doubles tandem of Colter Smith and Bastiaan Weststrate were victorious to remain unbeaten on the season. However, Cal Poly men's tennis fell on the road Friday at No. 16 University of San Diego, 7-0.
Smith and Westrate defeated the Toreros' No. 1 duo 7-5 to improve to 5-0 together this season. However, the Mustangs dropped the other two doubles spots as San Diego took the team point.
In singles, senior Joe Leather took the 89th ranked player in the country to three sets before falling in the end.
San Diego won at all six singles spots to win the match.
Cal Poly will stay in San Diego Saturday to take on No. 42 Oregon at 11 a.m.
