
Berry Set to Compete in ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. — Coming off a spring in which he was named First Team All-Big West in singles and after he was ranked 53rd in the nation in singles earlier this month, senior Cal Poly men's tennis athlete Noah Berry will kick off his 2023-24 campaign competing in the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. starting this weekend. The tournament runs Sept. 30-Oct. 8. The event will be held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa and Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park in Tulsa. Berry will be part of the 128-player Qualifying Singles draw, which includes 112 automatic qualifiers, at-large picks and wild cards, based on region and preseason rankings, as well as 16 qualifiers. Matches on each day start at 7 a.m. PT. with several of the matches being streamed live. Draws and schedules can be found here. In the 2023 spring season, Berry was 11-6 in singles while playing at the top spot in the lineup which earned him First Team All-Big West honors for a third straight season. Berry has had a decorated collegiate career so far heading into his senior year. In addition to being a three-time First Team All-Big West honoree in singles, he has also been a two-time All-Big West selection in doubles. As a freshman in 2021, he became the fifth Mustang to be named Big West Freshman of the Year. He ranks fourth in program history for career singles dual match winning percentage (.667) with a 34-17 record.
