At Warmerdam Field in Fresno on Thursday, Devaney shattered a 62-year-old school record in the men's hammer recording a lifetime best of 202 feet, 4 inches on his fifth attempt to win the event.
The 2022 San Luis Obispo High grad improved upon his previous personal best by over 26 feet to surpass Tom Pagani's 1961 school record of 200-5.
The next day, Devaney picked up his second victory at the West Coast Relays, claiming the top spot in the men's discus with a toss of 172 feet, 6 inches, good for No. 10 on Cal Poly's all-time list.
