Three Mustangs Earn All-Big West Volleyball Honors

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — After helping the Cal Poly volleyball team to a top-three seed Big West finish during the regular season, three Mustang players earned All-Conference honors Tuesday.
Redshirt junior outside hitter Tommi Stockham earned First Team All-Big West honors, redshirt sophomore outside hitter Lizzy Markvoska earned Second Team All-Big West honors, and redshirt sophomore setter Emme Bullis received Honorable Mention All-Big West honors.
This is the third straight year Stockham has earned First Team All-Big West honors. It is the second straight year for Bullis being named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Stockham leads the team and is fourth in the Big West at 3.21 kills per set. She's also averaging 2.30 digs per set and has recorded 10 double-doubles this year. She's had 24 matches of double digit kills and two matches of over 20 kills. At one point, she had a stretch of eight straight matches with over 10 kills. She also leads the Big West in service aces with 46 and was named Big West Offensive Player of the Week three times this year.
After earning All-Freshman honors a season ago, Markovska is second on the team this season in kills at 2.93 per set and aces with 33. She's also third on the team in digs at 2.12 per set and has nine double-doubles. She's had 23 matches of double figure kills including a stretch of 14 straight matches with double digit kills.
After starting the season running a 6-2 offense, Bullis eventually took over solo setting duties and is averaging 7.41 assists per set and 2.00 digs per set. She's had eight matches of 40+ assists and four double-doubles. She was named Big West Setter of the Week on Oct. 9 this season.
UCSB won three of the major awards with Michelle Ohwobete winning Big West Player of the Year, Macall Peed taking home Libero of the Year, and Matt Jones being named Coach of the Year. UC Irvine's Nicole Feliciano won the Freshman of the Year award.
The Mustangs will be taking on UC Davis in the first round of the Big West Championship Wednesday at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
