Dimayuga Leads Cal Poly on First Day of The Gunrock Invitational

FIRST-DAY RESULTS
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Kamille Dimayuga shot a pair of 71s to highlight Cal Poly's performance on the opening day of The Gunrock Invitational on Monday at the Del Paso Country Club.
Dimayuga entered Tuesday's final round tied for 12th place with four other golfers with two-under-par 142 totals on the 6,067-yard par-72 course.
Dimayuga carded four birdies and three bogeys in her opening round and notched three birdies and a pair of bogeys in the afternoon round.
Kaylyn Noh added a 70 and 75 for a 145 total and 29th-place tie after two rounds of play while Caroline Cantlay, competing as an individual, posted a pair of 74s for a 148 total and 41st place.
Rounding out Cal Poly's scoring were Jensen Jalufka with a 76 and 73 for a 149 total and 45th place, Vanessa Wang with a 73 and 77 for a 150 total and 49th place, and Elizabeth Scholtes with a 76 and 75 for a 151 total and 50th place.
Cal Poly is ninth in the 11-team field with an eight-over-par 584 aggregate, posting a four-person 290 total in the morning round and 294 in the second round.
Stanford leads the team standings with a 34-under-par 542 total, 18 strokes ahead of Washington.
Individual leader after 36 holes is Rachel Heck of Stanford with rounds of 63 and 68 for a 13-under-par 131 total and a three-shot advantage over Cardinal teammate Rose Zhang (66-68--134). Stefanie Deng of Washington is third at 137 (68-69).
