FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Emily Hallett added more than seven inches to her existing school record in the women's weight throw while Shelby Daniele and Anisa Rind moved up to No. 2 on Cal Poly's all-time indoor track and field marks in their specialties, highlighting Mustang performances in the Arkansas qualifier on Friday.
At the Randal Tyson Track Center on the campus of the University of Arkansas, Hallett placed fourth in the women's weight throw with a mark of 54 feet, 4 3/4 inches, eclipsing the old school record of 53-9 1/2 she set earlier this year.
In the women's 60-meter dash, Danielle ran a 7.77-second race in the prelims, which would tie her for fourth place on the all-time list, then turned in a 7.74 clocking in the finals to move into a second-place tie with A'Jah Love (2016) and Mishe' Scott (2015).
Daniele finished sixth in the finals. Daijah Joe-Smiuth holds Cal Poly's school record of 7.68 set in 2015.
Rind was timed in 57.72 second to finish 13th in the 400 and move into second place on Cal Poly's all-time indoor list, behind only LeBren Martin (55.95 in 2004).
In other events, Melody Nwagwu placed fifth in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 18-4 1/4 while Makayla Oliver finished 18th in the 200 with a personal-best time of 25.56 seconds.
Isabella Rigby's 41-2 1/4 for eighth place in the shot put is a personal best as well while Jadyn Snaer was clocked in 7.86 seconds for 10th place in the 60 prelims, just .03 short of her personal best, .04 seconds shy of qualifying for the finals and .06 seconds out of the top five on Cal Poly's all-time indoor list.
The NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held March 11-12 in Birmingham, Alabama.
