Mechanics Bank Student-Athlete of the Week: Tommi Stockham

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — After leading the offensive attack to help the Cal Poly volleyball team to a pair of sweeps last week, redshirt sophomore outside hitter Tommi Stockham has been named the Mechanics Bank Cal Poly Student-Athlete of the Week.
In the two wins, Stockham averaged 4.00 kills per set and 3.00 digs per set while hitting .262.
In a 3-0 victory over UC Riverside on Friday, Stockham finished with a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs as well as an ace while hitting .320. She followed it up on Saturday with a team-leading 13 kills, seven digs, and two aces in a 3-0 sweep of UC Davis.
Stockham, who has six double-doubles on the season, leads the Big West in kills at 3.82 per set and is fourth in points at 4.23 per set.
Winners of its last three matches, Cal Poly will travel to face CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday at 6 p.m. before returning home to take on first-place Hawai'i on Saturday at 7 p.m. inside Mott Athletics Center.
