Cal Poly Climbs into 12th-Place Tie with Fresno State in The Molly

FINAL RESULTS
SEASIDE, Calif. -- The Cal Poly women's golf team climbed up one spot into a tie for 12th place with Fresno State in the final round of The Molly Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday on the Bayonet Golf Course at Bayonet and Black Horse.
In the tournament co-hosted by Cal and Oregon State on the Monterey Peninsula, the Mustangs posted a four-person final-round 307 total on the par-72, 6,131-yard layout, finishing with a 68-over-par 932 aggregate. Fresno State carded a 308, also for a 932 total.
Stanford claimed the team title with a 14-over-par 878 total for 54 holes, carding a final-round six-under-par 282 aggregate. The Cardinal finished seven strokes ahead of both San Jose State and UCLA.
Competing against four Pac-12 schools and five more from the Mountain West Conference, Cal Poly's top finisher was freshman Kaylyn Noh with a final-round 75 for a 229 total and 28th-place tie. Kamille Dimayuga, another Mustang freshman, was next with a final-round 77 for a 232 total and 39th-place tie.
Also scoring for Cal Poly were Jensen Jalufka with a final-round 79 for a 234 total and 45th-place tie, Nicole Neale with a 76 for a 237 total and 57th-place tie, and Madi Daniel with an 80 for a 247 total and 75th place.
Capturing medalist honors was Rose Zhang of Stanford with a three-under-par 213 total following a final-round 68. Zhang finished three shots ahead of Cardinal teammate Caroline Sturdza (76-73-67--216) and San Jose State's Natasha Andrea Oon (71-74-71--216).
Second-round leader Zoe Campos of UCLA finished tied for eighth place after shooting a final-round 78.
Neale and Dimayuga shared eighth place with five other golfers in par-5 scoring at one under par.
Coach Sofie Aagaard's Mustangs play their third tournament of the fall season Oct. 8-10 at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate hosted by Denver University at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club.
