Cal Poly Men's Tennis Falls to Oregon 7-0

EUGENE, Ore. – The Cal Poly men's tennis team put up a fight against University of Oregon Saturday afternoon but couldn't keep up the pace, as they fell 7-0.
The Mustangs started the day off in doubles play where Garrett Auproux ad Tim Tan lost to Cormac Clissold and Thomas Laurent on court two 7-5, while Ben Donovan and Corey Pang lost to Jayson Amos and Armando Soemarno 6-3, giving the Ducks the doubles point.
Following doubles play, Axel Damiens fell to Ethan Young-Smith 6-1, 6-2 on court six, while Josh Ortlip lost to Akihiro Tanaka 6-4, 6-2 on court four. Corey Pang took on No. 33 Thomas Laurent on court one, but fell 6-4, 6-3, giving Oregon a 4-0 lead.
Antione Noel was beat by Clissold 6-3, 7-5 on court five, while Auproux was defeated by Amos on court three, 7-6, 6-3. Donovan took on Stevens at the No. 2 spot but was beat by Stevens 7-6, 6-3.
The Mustangs are now 2-2 on the season and will be back on the court for their first home match of the season to take on Loyola Marymount on Feb. 10 and New Mexico on Feb. 12.
