Mustang Men's Tennis Sweeps LMU, 7-0

After a hard fought 4-3 win over New Mexico on Sunday, the Mustangs went into Monday's match against LMU with even more momentum, advancing their home record to 2-0 and their overall record to 4-2.
"Our guys came out in singles firing on all cylinders after a tough doubles point," said assistant coach Garrett Patton. "I', proud of the way we competed throughout the entire lineup against a good LMU team."
The Mustangs started the morning off with doubles play, where LMU tested Cal Poly, but couldn't take the doubles point.
LMU took the first doubles win on court two after Lukas Moenter and Gabriel Diaz beat Karl Enander and Tim Tan 6-2.
The No. 28 doubles tandem of Ben Donovan and Corey Pang tied things up after beating Max Kaiser and Nick Borchenko 6-4.
Josh Ortlip and Garrett Auproux clinched the doubles point for the Mustangs on court three after beating Luke Bohuslav and Ryan Brown in a tiebreaker 7-6.
Up 1-0, The Mustangs kept their momentum going in singles play. Donovan picked up the first singles point after he beat Kaiser 6-3, 6-1 on court two.
Axel Damiens beat Bohuslav on court six 6-2, 6-0 while Pang beat Borchenko 6-2, 6-1 on court one, clinching the match for the Mustangs.
Antoine Noel beat Alex Bourgeois 6-2, 6-1 on court five while Auproux pushed Moenter to tie-breaker and came out with a win 6-3, 4-6, 10-4. Ortlip finished the match off on a strong note after beating Gabriel Diaz Freire on court four 6-2, 6-3, giving the Mustangs their seventh point.
